3. The Temperature Valve should move through its full travel as the temperature setting is changed from 90°F or 60°F and back again. Check the
operation of the valve using the following procedure:

Without Electronic Climate Control
If air flow does not come from the proper outlets under one or more operating modes, at least one of the air valves is not moving to the proper position.
1. Check for manifold vacuum to the Heater and A/C Control Assembly at the VIOLET hose from the vacuum source.

If vacuum is not present, check the hose back to the engine vacuum source.
2. Check the operation of the Temperature Valve by moving the Temperature Lever rapidly back and forth several times. Listen for the valve to
strike the stop at each end of its travel. If the sound indicates that the valve is not fully closing or opening, check the mechanical linkage between
the valve and the Temperature Lever.
