The Driver Information Center Display, Fig. 7 is located on the instrument panel. When the ignition switch is placed in the On position, the
display will go through a system check while the message Monitored Systems OK is displayed. If no problems are detected, the screen returns to
the mode displayed before the engine was turned off.

There are four buttons that control the functions of the driver information center:

1. The MODE button, when pressed, cycles through a series of displays in the following order:

a. ECON--Average fuel economy and instantaneous fuel economy.
b. FUEL--Amount of fuel used since last fuel-used reset, and fuel remaining.
c. RANGE--Fuel range and low fuel range.
d. OIL--Oil life index and next required oil change.
e. GAGES--Oil pressure, tachometer and battery voltage information.

ET--Elapsed time since last reset.

g. DT/TM--Date and time.

2. The ON/OFF button is used to input numbers and to blank out the display.
3. The RESET button is used with other buttons to reset the system. Depressing this button once enters the reset mode. Pressing this button again

aborts the reset.

4. The SEL button is used to select different displays within a specific mode. For example, when the SEL button is depressed while in the GAGES

mode, the display will cycle from oil pressure to battery voltage to tachometer.
