CONDITION:
The characters on the Driver Information System (DIS) option U51 may be hard to read in very cold weather. The characters may have only part of the
script visible, or may look like foreign characters. This condition will gradually clear up as the vehicle warms to normal temperature.
CAUSE:
The display material may partially freeze in very cold weather, and may not be visible until the interior unthaws the digits in the display.
CORRECTION:
This condition was corrected in production in mid-February of 1989. All parts in service stock have been replaced with new parts. If a customer
comments that their vehicle has this condition, the display should be replaced.
