Fuel Injector(s) Replacement

Fuel Rail And Injectors

CAUTION:  Use care in removing the injectors to prevent damage to the nozzle and electrical connector pins.  The fuel injector is serviced as a
complete assembly only.  The fuel injector is an electrical component and should not be immersed in any type of cleaner.

REMOVAL:

1.

With the ignition switch OFF, remove the electrical connector from each injector.

2.

Remove the fuel rail, see FUEL RAIL.

3.

Remove the injector retaining clips (if used).

4.

Remove the injectors.

5.

Remove the injector O-rings and discard.

INSTALLATION:

1.

Coat new O-rings with clean engine oil, and install the O-rings and injectors into the fuel rail.

2.

Install the injector retaining clips (if used).

3.

Install the fuel rail.  The injectors are retained by the fuel rail.

4.

Connect the electrical connectors.
