Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
Disabling the SIR System
1.
Turn ignition switch to Lock position.
2.
Disconnect and tape end of battery ground cable. Wait 15 minutes before proceeding to step 3.
3.
Remove three of four inflatable module to steering wheel attaching screws.
4.
Support module, carefully remove fourth screw, then disconnect and tape module electrical connector.
