If Cause # 1 is evident, apply an adhesive, foam patch (preferably with a smooth surface) trimmed to fit. Refer to Figure 1. To install foam patch, it
is necessary to remove vertical rod, insert foam patch over rod retainer and reinstall rod.

If Cause # 2 is evident, apply tape to rod end until an interference fit is obtained between the rod and the trim escutcheon manual lock/unlock
slider button.

5.

Verify unrestricted rod movement and proper function prior to reinstallation of water deflector and trim panel.

6.

Install water deflector and trim panel.

7.

Confirm proper lock function both electrically and manually.
