CLUNKING NOISE IN FRONT SUSPENSION - REPLACE STABILIZER SHAFT LINK ASSEMBLIES
MODELS/YEARS:
1992-93 EIGHTY EIGHT WITH FE3 SUSPENSION AND NINETY EIGHT WITH F41 SUSPENSION
CONDITION:
Some vehicles may exhibit a clunking noise in the front suspension when driving over bumps. This condition is more noticeable in cold weather.
CAUSE:
The stabilizer shaft link insulator material may compress over a period of time. New parts with a different insulator material have been used in
production since June 1993.
CORRECTION:
Replace the stabilizer shaft link assemblies with new P/N 25621457. Refer to Section 3C in the Service Manual.
