When replacing the 3rd clutch inner lip seal, use the narrow type lip seal included in service package 8644919. It can be used to replace the wide lip seal.
Many early failures have been reported with the wide lip seal. When the seal goes bad, the result is usually a very soft, or slipping 2-3 shift.
