6. Fuel feed and return pipe body attaching clips.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire and personal injury:

If nylon fuel pipes are nicked, scratched or damaged during installation, they must be replaced.
^
When installing new fuel pipes, Do Not hammer directly on the fuel harness body clips as this may damage the nylon resulting in a
possible fuel leak.
1. Position new fuel pipe harness in original location.
2. New fuel pipe harness body clips:
^
Use the end of a hammer handle to push into place.
3. Remove protective caps from one end of both fuel pipes.

Leave caps on other end of pipes to prevent dirt from entering.
4. Quick-connect fittings at fuel filter and fuel return pipe near filter. Refer to Servicing Quick-Connect Fittings. See: Service and Repair
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Repeat connect procedure for other end of harness.
7. Tighten fuel filler cap.
8. Negative battery cable.
INSPECT
Turn ignition switch to "ON," position for two seconds, then turn to "OFF" for ten seconds. Again turn to "ON" position, and check for fuel leaks.
