Front Door Striker: Service and Repair

Front Side Door Lock Striker Replacement 

Removal Procedure

1. Open the front door.
2. Scribe the location of the existing front door lock striker on the B-pillar with a grease pencil.

3. Remove the front door lock striker screws.
4. Remove the front door lock striker from B-pillar.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the front door lock striker to the scribed location on the B-pillar.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the front door lock striker screws.

Tighten the screws to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Important:

Ensure that the front door striker properly engages with the front door lock once the front door is adjusted within the door frame.

Use the front door striker in order to ensure the front door is flush.

*

DO NOT use the front door striker in order to raise or lower the front door.

3. Close the front door.
