Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Front
Removal
1.
Loosen nut and plug brake line.
2.
Disconnect pad wear sensor wire.
3.
Remove flexible brake hose.
4.
Remove two caliper retaining bolts while holding guides, then remove calipers.
5.
Coat threads of new bolts with Loctite.
Installation
1.
Install new bolts on caliper and torque to 26 ft. lbs.
2.
Install flex brake hoses and pad wear sensor wire.
3.
Assemble brake line, flexible hose and clamp, then bleed brake system.
