Water Pump: Service and Repair

Refer to Fig. 85, when performing the following procedure.

1.

Drain cooling system and remove timing belt, then remove tensioner assembly and cover.

2.

Remove water pump and gasket. The water pump cannot be disassembled.

3.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Clean mating surfaces, then install water pump with a new gasket.
b. Tighten bolts to specifications.
