CHILD RESTRAINT INFORMATION OMITTED FROM OWNER'S HANDBOOK/ REVISED "DEFROSTER OPERATION"

PROBLEM:
The page regarding child restraint information was inadvertently omitted from the vehicle owner's manual, and the defroster operation section is unclear.
PMA ACTION:
1.
A letter (copy attached) has been sent to all customers taking retail delivery before March 6, 1989, advising them to place the missing page in their
vehicle owner's manual, and to put the revised "defroster operation" sticker on page 26 of their owner's manual.
DEALER ACTION:
1.
Please place one of the enclosed copies of the child restraint information and revised "defroster operation" information in all vehicles presently in
your inventory and those received within the next week.
2.
Please send a copy of our letter (supply enclosed, along with a supply of owner's handbooks pages and revised defroster operation stickers) to all
owners that have taken delivery prior to the receipt of this bulletin that are not shown on the enclosed printout.
If you require any additional letters, child restraint or defroster operation pages, please contact the Engineering Department at Peugeot Motors of
America, Lyndhurst, NJ, Tel. 201-935-8400.
PORT ACTION:
1.
Until further notice port personnel will check and insert if necessary the child restraint information and the defroster operation pages in all
vehicles.

Dear 405 Owner, The enclosed page regarding the use of child restraints was inadvertently omitted from the first printing of the owner's manual. Please
place this page in your vehicle owner's manual for future reference.
In addition, please place the enclosed sticker on page 26 of the owner's manual. This sticker emphasizes the fact that the dashboard center and side air
outlets must be closed manually in order to obtain maximum defroster output.
