CHILD RESTRAINT
Children should be placed in an approved child safety seat and restrained in accordance with the child safety seat manufacturer's instructions and local,
state, and federal regulations.
All child restraint systems are designed to be secured in vehicle seats by lap belts or the lap belt portion of a lap-shoulder belt.
Children could be endangered in a crash if their child restraints are not properly secured in the vehicle.
Accident statistics show that children are safer when properly restrained in the rear seating positions than in the front seating positions.
If you need to restrain a child in the front passenger seat, use only the manual lap belt; do not use the automatic shoulder belt.
