complaining of speedometer accuracy problems (Service Bulletin No. 369)

Install cable end into CC speedsensor housing; it may be necessary to rotate the driven gear, slightly for easier engagement with cable; DO
NOT FORCE PIECES TOGETHER

Install assembly into transmission housing, being careful not to separate any of the parts

-

Install rubber locking pin and CC speedsensor housing 11 mm hold-down bolt

-

Route the adapter wiring harness along side the firewall and up to the speedometer cable grommet in the firewall; continue to route the
harness along side the speedometer cable and connect to CC speedsensor

-

Tie-strap the adapter wiring harness to the speedometer cable:

1)

3" from the CC speedsensor

2)

midway between CC speedsensor and speedometer cable firewall grommet

3)

at speedometer cable firewall grommet

Reattach speedometer cable to heater hose clip on "S" models and to bracket on engine block on all models

WARRANTY INFORMATION:

This repair will be accepted when performed within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period of three (3) years and/or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs
first.
