ADJUSTING
1.
Remove throttle return spring and retaining drum, and angle measuring tool.
2.
Remove tamper-proof plug by using pair of water pump pliers with ground-down jaws and a flat-blade screw driver or punch.
3.
Remove adjusting screw and clean threads. Apply thread locking compound to screw and reinstall.
4.
Reinstall throttle return spring and retaining drum and angle measuring tool.
5.
Adjust throttle plate position to correct angle noted in step 6 of checking procedure.
6.
Remove angle measuring tool and operate throttle several times, then reinstall measuring tool and recheck throttle plate angle.
7.
Coat new tamper-resistant plug with thread locking compound and install.
8.
Reinstall throttle body on engine.
