Interior - Front Door Trim Panel May Pull Away

1986 MODEL YEAR FRONT DOOR PANELS :

DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT

Under certain hot climatic conditions the front door trim panel below the armrest may pull away from the backing material of the door panel.

PART REQUIRED

Part Number:

6924.02 OR Locally supplied Phillips head black trim screw:

-

Size 6 by 3/4" length, (one per panel).

SERVICE FIX

Measure and install one trim screw approximately 175 MM (7") from the forward edge and 30 MM (1-1/4") below the upper edge of the trim panel as
shown below. Repeat the above procedure on opposite side door panel.
NOTE:

This service fix is also applicable to station wagon rear door trim panels.
