ASSEMBLY
1.
Move pump piston to the TDC position.
2.
Install new O-ring into pump piston groove.
3.
Position new diaphragm with retaining washers into pump body, Fig. 5. Install washers with flat surface of each contacting diaphragm.
4.
Apply suitable locking compound to diaphragm stud, then install nut and torque to 6.5 ft. lbs. (8.8 Nm).
5.
Install diaphragm cover and reconnect vacuum lines.
6.
Install seals, valves and springs into diaphragm cover.
7.
Install pump upper cover, using a new gasket, and secure with attaching screws.
8.
Check pump oil level as previously described.
