The Service Bulletin has been divided into three sections, each relating to a specific complaint or problem.

NOTE:

The customer may not be aware of problem No. 1 and only complain of a dead battery. Always check the operation of the charge warning light
with the key on and engine off prior to considering replacement of the alternator.

An inoperative charge warning light or an open circuit in its wiring will not permit energizing of the alternator. If an open circuit occurs in the charge
warning system while driving, the alternator will continue to perform normally until the engine is shut off.
