Fuel quantity indicated, starting off with completely dry tank.

Checking Operation of Low Fuel Warning Indicator The low fuel warning should come on with less than 2.5 gallons remaining in the tank.
Prior to considering replacement of the sending unit for a non operational warning indicator:

a)

check the electrical circuit to the dash warning light by disconnecting 3 Pin connector at sending unit and connecting a jumper wire
between wires 65A and M65. If circuit is complete the warning light on the instrument cluster will be "on" (ignition switch in "run"
position).

b)

Make sure that there is less than 2.5 gallons remaining in the tank.
