SUBJECT:

FOG LIGHTS RELAY

MODELS:

1987 TURBOS AND STX MODELS

COMPLAINT:

Inoperative fog lights due to the presence of corrosion on the relay electrical contacts and/or terminals.

This condition may occur if the fog light relay is not mounted right side up and hanging loose in front of the windshield washer
reservoir.

PART REQUIRED:

1 Fog Light Relay, P/N 6555.27

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

-

Remove screw holding auxiliary fan relay bracket assembly, carefully lift bracket and set it aside.

Locate fog light relay (hanging loose forward of windshield washer reservoir), and remove it from wiring harness connector. If necessary
clean wire terminals.

Remove the forward screw and washer used to mount the windshield washer reservoir and use the screw to ream out the new relay mounting
bracket (screw it in all the way through the relay bracket and leave it there).

Plug the new relay into the wiring harness connector.

Insert the original washer behind the relay bracket and reinstall the windshield washer reservoir screw and tighten it securely.

Reinstall the auxiliary fan relay bracket assembly and cover.
