Cut the terminals off wires nos. 45 and 46
-
Using "proner" pliers, crimp the 6.35 mm terminal (P/N 6542.28) onto wire no. 45
-
Crimp tbe 8 mm terminal (P/N 0065.4H) onto wire no. 46
-
Insert wire no. 45 into pin 1 of the new relay wiring harness connector plug
-
Insert wire no. 46 into pin 3 of the new relay wiring harness connector plug
-
Insert gray wire no. 16 from the new wiring harness into pin 5 of the original starter relay connector plug
-
Insert green/yellow wire no. M2 from the new wiring harness into pin 3 of the original starter relay connector plug
-
Reinstall the connector plug on the original starter relay
-
Install the new 50 amp relay onto the new wiring harness connector plug
-
Route the new wiring harness through the tie strap on relay bracket and resecure
-
Install the new relay on the front part of the relay bracket with a new tie strap
-
Install the new relay bracket protective sleeve and reinstall relay bracket on firewall
-
Route the new wiring harness along existing wiring harness on left front inner fender and resecure tie straps
-
Connect red wire no. 14 from new wiring harness into open pin of battery junction block located on positive battery cable
-
Route the ground wire from new wiring harness through the two tie straps above the windshield washer reservoir and behind the relay box on front
panel
-
Connect the yellow ground connector to ground block MM2 next to the left side headlight
-
Reinstall and connect battery
-
Test start and check that engine only starts in park or neutral only

Enter radio code

This repair will be accepted when performed within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period of three

years and/or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
