Oil Pump: Service and Repair
Inspection
1. Measure the following oil pump clearances:
Oil Pump Endplay Measurement
a. Endplay, should be 0.0010-0.0035 inch.
Oil Pump Outer Rotor Thickness Measurement
b. Outer rotor thickness, should be at least 0.9435 inch and diameter should be at least 2.4690 inches. Install outer rotor with chamfered edge in
pump body.
