SYMPTOM/CONDITION

A loose or leaking cap on the wastegate solenoid on the 2.5L turbocharged engine may cause a momentary loss of engine power during acceleration.

DIAGNOSIS

The wastegate control will become ineffective causing the instrument panel power loss lamp to light and a "Boost Limit Exceeded" fault code to be
recorded in the SMEC that is detectable with the DRB II. This condition can be corrected by installing the driveability package listed below.
