Rear Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Pry up door handle plate with plastic stick, push to rear, and slide off.
2. Remove screw in door handle.
3. Remove 2 caps in arm rest, then remove the screws under the caps.
4. Loosen door panel clips, using trim stick.
5. Remove panel.
6. Remove watershield, and remove plugs at top of watershield.
7. Remove 2 screws from top of door.
8. Pull down felt run channel from top and side of door.
9. Two 10 mm bolts hold vertical bar between vent glass and door glass. There is 1 bolt at bottom and 1 in access hole.

10. Remove rivets from channel.
11. Remove rivets from rear edge guides.
12. Remove channel from regulator.
13. Pull complete glass unit up and out of door.

INSTALLATION

1. Rivet 2 guides on to side of glass. (You should be able to reuse guides.)
2. Replace sash on bottom of glass with 2 rivets, prior to installing glass to door.
3. Preassemble vent and door glass.
4. Tilt glass assembly and push down into door. (Make sure guide is on regulator and then rerivet assembly onto regulator.)
5. Rear vent glass must be removed in order to have enough play to reattach the new glass to regulator.
6. When reattached, reinstall vent glass with vertical channel going over rear guides. The vent glass is bonded to vertical rail channel at bottom with

urethane.

7. Pull lip of weatherstrip to front around door glass.
