REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the original hose and sleeve assembly between the fuel pump outlet nipple and the fuel reservoir inlet nipple. Save the hose clamps
(Figure 1).

2.

Slightly loosen the thermostat housing bolt that holds the reservoir and rotate the fuel reservoir clockwise against the stop furthest from the 
carburetor and hold it in that position and retorque the bolt.

3.

Replace the pump-to-reservoir hose with a 7" piece of 1/4" Fuel Hose PN 4279992 supplied in 16-1/2" length.. Cut to 7", two repairs can be made
from each 16-1/2" length. (Do not reinstall the original sleeve over this hose.) (Figure 1)

4.

Reuse the spring-type clamps from the original hose.

5.

Check the hose routing to make sure that:

a.

The new hose is not in contact with anything that may cause chaffing. Reposition as necessary.

b.

The new hose has a generous radius that is not going to kink. Reposition as necessary.

6.

Start engine and check for fuel leakage.
