Using the installation stick attached to the choke shim, install the shim on the choke adjusting screw (Figure 4).

7.

Rotate the fast idle release tool clockwise and remove.

8.

Detach the installation stick from the shim by twisting the stick until it breaks free from the shim.

9.

Ensure that the choke adjusting shim is securely installed between the plunger and the adjusting screw.

10.

Reinstall the throttle return spring.

1.

Clean the choke linkage with MOPAR Brake and Carburetor Parts Cleaner, PN 4318037, or equivalent.

2.

Clean the secondary air bleed jet and choke shaft (Figure 5).
