A quantity of these parts will be distributed initially and billed to all involved dealers. This quantity will cover a portion of the total vehicles
involved. Additional parts may be ordered as needed to support customer demand.

Each involved dealer, to whom vehicles in the recall were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same street address), will receive enough Emissions
Service Parts Packages,  Recall PN C3903310 to service 25% of those vehicles.

Each package contains the components as shown.

C. Exhaust Manifold Parts Package

If the exhaust manifold requires replacement as determined in Service Procedure Section E, order Exhaust Manifold Parts Package, Recall Part Number
C3940377. Each package contains an exhaust manifold and gaskets.

D. Carburetor

If a new carburetor must be installed as determined in Service Procedure Section J, order Carburetor Part No. MD997198 - Colt Vista 4WD w/Manual
Transmission

NOTE: 

Only a limited number of vehicles are expected to require carburetor replacement.

A. Install Jet Mixture Solenoid

1.

Remove the air cleaner assembly and plug the vacuum tee.

2.

Drain about one gallon of engine coolant from the radiator and save for later use.

3.

Remove the throttle return spring.

4.

Remove the carburetor following

Service Manual procedures.

5.

Clean the choke linkage with MOPAR Brake and Carburetor Parts Cleaner, Part No. 4318037, or equivalent.

6.

Clean the secondary air bleed jet and choke shaft, (Figure 1).
