Using MOPAR Brake and Carburetor Parts Cleaner, PN4318037 or equivalent, clean the choke shaft and Secondary Air Bleed Jet
(Figure 1).

Remove Primary Air Bleed Jet (Figure 2).

8.

Install new Primary Air Bleed Jet included in the parts package.

Note:

When removing and installing the Primary Air Bleed Jet, use a screwdriver that is an exact fit in the slot. Work carefully to
prevent any damage.

B.Install Carburetor Choke Adjustment Shim

Insert the fast idle release tool (PN C3940272) between the fast idle cam lever and the wax element housing (Figure 3).

NOTE:

Insert the tool so that there is no interference with the throttle lever movement.

Turn tool counterclockwise (about 45 degrees) until the tool is wedged in the position.  This provides the needed clearance between the
choke adjusting screw and the plunger.

NOTE:

Rotate the throttle lever to a fully open position for easier shim installation.
