Using the installation stick attached to the choke shim, install the shim on the choke adjusting screw (Figure 5).
4.
Rotate the fast idle release tool clockwise and remove.
5.
Detach the installation stick from the shim by twisting the stick until it breaks free from the shim.
6.
Insure that the choke adjusting shim is securely installed between the plunger and the adjusting screw.

Locate the fast idle adiustment screw (Figure 6).
2.
Turn the screw 3/8 turn clockwise.
NOTE:
The fast idle adjustment screw has a slot for screwdriver engagement. At the time of assembly, the screw was painted
yellow.
D.Reinstall Carburetor
1.
Reinstall the carburetor usin the Service Manual procedure. Use a new carburetor gasket from the parts package.
2.
Reinstall throttle return spring.
3.
Refill radiator coolant.
