Evaporative System Overview
FUEL CUT OFF AND TWO WAY CHECK VALVES
The fuel cut off (Roll over) valve, is used to prevent fuel leaks should the car suddenly roll over. This valve is connected in the fuel vapor line
(between the fuel tank and two way valve) and is mounted on top of the fuel tank. Under normal conditions, the gasoline vapor passage in the valve is
opened, but if roll over occurs the float closes the fuel passage preventing fuel leaks.
The pressure relief "Two Way" check valve is located within the vapor line between the fuel tank and the charcoal canister. It is designed to vent
excess pressure and fuel vapors from the tank into the charcoal canister, when the fuel tank pressure becomes positive and reaches a specified value.
