11.

Energize the relay by connecting a lead wire with alligator clips from the  negative terminal of the battery to terminal # 6 of the relay, and a lead
wire with alligator clips from the positive terminal of the battery to terminal # 8 of the relay.

12.

Check for continuity between the relay terminals # 2 and # 4.
Continuity should exist, with no resistance.

Remove the power source connections from the Control Relay.
If the test results are other than specified, replace the Control Relay.
