Assemble an inner pad and shim "sandwich" by stacking the inner pad, with friction material face up, on top of the second rubber coated shim,
with the greased side up, on top of the non-coated shim, with its greased side up.

NOTE:

WIPE AWAY ANY EXCESS GREASE WHICH OOZES FROM BETWEEN THE SHIMS AND PAD.

Install brake pad and shim "sandwiches" into position as shown in Figure 2, using the brake pad installation procedure as outlined in the
appropriate service manual.
