REPAIR PROCEDURE
This repair procedure involves the installation of a modulator kit to alter the throttle potentiometer schedule to the ECI. After this repair, the throttle
position sensor output voltage, as measured at the ECI, should not exceed 3 volts at wide open throttle.
1.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Remove the under-cover located beneath the glove, box. Disconnect the in-car sensor wire from the under-cover as shown in Figure 1.

Remove the glove box from the instrument panel.
4.
Remove the glove box striker.
5.
Remove the ECI unit from behind the right kick pad.
6.
Connect the new wiring harness to the ECI unit.
