Approximately April 15, 1984, a new worm drive windshield wiper motor, PN 4334104, went into production on subject model vehicles.
This one motor assembly is used for both standard two-speed wipe and delay systems.
This bulletin outlines the new diagnosis and testing procedures:
NOTE:
IF A MALFUNCTION INVOLVES ONLY THE DELAY MODE, SWITCH OR WIRING, REFER TO THE ELECTRICAL SECTION OF
THE SERVICE MANUAL.
Wiper motor and mounting bracket must be replaced as an assembly. PN 4334104 is a complete assembly.
