Repair Procedures

This repair procedure involves the routing of the heater supply hose so it contacts the choke housing. The heat from this hose reduces the tendency of the
choke to close before the engine cools off. It is, therefore, very important the heater hose be in direct contact with the choke housing.

"M" Body Passenger Cars and D-W Series Trucks Without Silicone Heater Hoses and With Air Conditioning

1.

Remove and discard the supply heater hoses and the water control valve. This is the hose that connects the intake manifold to the heater core.

2.

Remove the return heater hose from the heater core at the cowl and install it on the opposite nipple of the heater core.

3.

Remove and discard 33 inches off the straight end of the preformed hose, PN 4361146.
