Arm/Disarm Switch: Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATION
There are three switches used to ARM and DISARM the system. They are located in the left front and right front doors, and in the liftgate. These
switches use resistors internal to the switch to send a signal to the Body Control Module (BCM) on the operators request. Power for the switches
is supplied on circuit P96 for the right front door, circuit P97 for the left front door, and P98 for the liftgate. The BCM supplies power to these
switches.
When the operator has selected the ARM or DISARM function voltage is supplied on the appropriate circuit through the CLOSED contacts in the
switch, through the appropriate resistor, to ground.
Ground for the switches is supplied on circuit Z2 for all the switches. The ground for the door switches terminates at the right cowl panel, and the
ground for the liftgate switch terminates at the liftgate ground.
