NOTE: 

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH REAR HEATER & A/C BUILT PRIOR TO JULY 26, 1995 (MDH 0726XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The right side quarter trim panel may be warm to the touch on vehicles equipped with rear heater & A/C, especially in the area of the storage bin.

DIAGNOSIS:

If the vehicle operator describes the condition above, perform the Repair Procedure.

NOTE: 

PART MUST BE MARKED WITH THE LETTER "V" OR LATER FOLLOWING THE MOLDED IN PART NUMBER WHICH IS LOCATED
ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE PANEL JUST REARWARD OF THE OVAL CUTOUT FOR THE SPEAKER. THE PART NUMBER MAYBE
PARTIALLY HIDDEN BY A SILENCER PAD.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves installing a new right side quarter trim panel with a revised shape and fiber insulation pad.

1.

Remove the three passenger seat.

2.

Fold the two passenger seat back forward or activate the easy access feature of the quad seat depending on how the vehicle is equipped.

3.

Disengage the retainer clips and remove the sliding door sill plate.

4.

Disengage the retainer clips and remove the quarter trim bolster.

5.

Remove the rear seat belt turning loop and floor anchor bolts.

6.

Remove the "D"-pillar trim panel.

7.

Remove the middle seat belt turning loop and floor anchor bolts.

8.

Remove the 9 screws attaching the trim panel to the quarter panel.

9.

Disengage the hidden clips holding the front of the trim panel to the quarter panel that are just rearward of the sliding door opening.

10.

Feed the seat belts through the access holes and remove the trim panel from the vehicle.

11.

Install the appropriate revised right side quarter trim panel listed in the Parts Required section of this bulletin by reversing steps 1 thru 10. Torque
seat belt fasteners to 29 ft. lbs. (39 Nm).
