ABS Light: Description and Operation
This amber lamp will illuminate if the Controller Anti-Lock
Brake (CAB) detects a condition which will result in a loss of ABS function.
NOTE: ABS warning lamp illumination does not address malfunctions in the base brake system and, unless the red Brake warning lamp is also
illuminated, the base brake system will continue to function normally in the event of an ABS shutdown.
The ABS warning lamp will also illuminate for one to four seconds when the ignition key is first placed in the On position as a bulb check and as an
indication that the CAB is performing its self-test.
