8. Remove steering gear mounting bolts, then lower steering gear and install replacement tool No. 6831A, or equivalent, through center of
intermediate coupler roll pin and secure with knurled nut. Hold threaded rod stationary while rotating knurled nut to remove roll pin from
intermediate coupler.
9. Separate intermediate coupler from steering gear, then remove steering gear assembly.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
