There are two specified oil filters for the 3.0L V6 engine available from Chrysler. Either filter can be used for replacement.

Correct Filter Application - 3.0L V6 Engine

PN MD108063

Mitsubishi Filter

PN 4105409

Mopar Filter (same as specified for 

2.2L and 2.5L engines)

These filters have an American Standard thread (.75 diameter) for attachment to the engine, and are the only Chrysler supplied filters to be used for
replacement on the 3.0L engine.

Under no circumstances should a metric thread filter (such as the 2.6L engine filter, PN MD031805) be used for replacement on the 3.0L engine. Using
the 2.6L engine filter on the 3.0L engine may result in filter blow off and engine damage.

The 2.6L filter has too large a thread diameter (20 mm). It may appear to fit, but will be loose. The MD031805 filter specified for the 2.6L engine must
notbe used on the 3.0L engine.

Use only the MD108063 or 4105409 filter on the 3.0L engine.

Please ensure that all parts and service personnel are aware of this important information.
