THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ALL WHEEL DRIVE (AWD) BUILT PRIOR TO JAN. 31, 1997 (MDH
0131XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some vehicles may experience a rattle in the area of the rear wheels caused by the parking brake actuator lever(s).
DIAGNOSIS:
Rapidly move the parking brake actuator lever in an up and down motion. If the lever produces a rattle noise, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves installing a foam isolator on each parking brake actuator lever.
1.
Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist.
2.
Remove both rear wheel/tire assemblies.
3.
Remove the disc brake caliper to adapter guide pin bolts (Figure 1).
4.
Remove the rear caliper from the adapter using the following procedure:

Rotate the rear of the caliper up from the adapter.
