Check the inboard pivot area for clearance between the back frame pivot arm and the cushion frame pivot arm (Figure 1).

Shake the seat back relative to the seat cushion to check for a loose fit of the pivot bolt in the back pivot arm (rattle potential).
5.
Check the seat track-to-cushion frame mounting bolts for proper torque (200 inch pounds).
6.
Check the recliner for loose mounting.
7.
Remove the back assembly from the cushion pivot and the recliner.
