Fuel Pressure Control Valve: Testing and Inspection
Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Location
OPERATIONAL CHECK
Before removing the vacuum hoses, mark there location to insure proper reassembly.
1.
Remove the vacuum hoses from the solenoid valve.
2.
Disconnect the harness connector.
EGR Voltage Test
3.
Apply vacuum with a hand pump to one fitting and check the other fitting both powered and unpowered for vacuum under the following
conditions.
Unpowered:
Fitting open: vacuum leaks
Fitting plugged: vacuum holds
Powered:
Fitting plugged: vacuum holds
RESISTANCE CHECK
EGR Resistance Test
Test the coil for resistance.
RESISTANCE
36 - 46 ohm @68°F (20°C)
