p. If voltage indicated is not as specified, replace key reminder switch.
q. Insert ignition key.
r.
Connect a suitable voltmeter between control unit connector terminal 13 and ground.
s. Voltage indicated should be 0 volts.
t.
If voltage indicated is as specified, circuit is satisfactory. Proceed to step v.
u. If voltage indicated is not as specified, replace key reminder switch.
v. Connect a suitable voltmeter between control unit connector terminal 12 and ground.
w. Voltage indicated should be approximately 12 volts.
x. If voltage indicated is as specified, circuit is satisfactory. Proceed to step 3.
y. If voltage indicated is not as specified, repair harness as necessary.

Check buzzer circuit as follows:
a. Disconnect buzzer harness connector.
b. Connect a suitable voltmeter between buzzer connector terminal 1 and ground.
c. Voltage indicated should be approximately 12 volts.
d. If voltage indicated is as specified, circuit is satisfactory. Proceed to step f.
e. If voltage indicated is not as specified, repair harness as necessary.
f.
Connect buzzer harness connector, then disconnect control unit harness connector.
g. Connect a suitable voltmeter between control unit connector terminal 20 and ground.
h. Voltage indicated should be approximately 12 volts.
i.
If voltage indicated is as specified, circuit is satisfactory.
j.
If voltage indicated is not as specified, repair harness as necessary.
