Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector (Figure 1).

2.

Apply Mopar Rust Penetrant PN 4318039 (or equivalent) to the oxygen sensor to ease removal.

3.

Using special tool MD998748 and an offset box-end wrench, remove the oxygen sensor (Figure 2).

4.

Install the supplied oxygen sensor using the special tool. Torque to 33 ft-lbs (45 N-m).

5.

Connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.

6.

With the ignition switch in the OFF position, disconnect the battery negative cable for more than ten seconds to erase any diagnostic trouble
codes.

7.

Reconnect the battery negative cable.

Completion Reporting and Reimbursement

Claims for vehicles which have been serviced must be submitted on the DIAL System. Claims submitted will be used by Chrysler to record recall service
completions and provide dealer payments.
