Oxygen Sensor: Description and Operation
Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit
PURPOSE
The oxygen (O2) sensor provides feedback to the ECU about combustion efficiency. The system operates by measuring the oxygen content of
exhaust gases.
The sensor is equipped with a heater element which helps the sensor to reach operating temperature faster.
LOCATION
The oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust, ahead of the catalytic convertor.
