5. Remove high pressure fitting and O-ring from housing, then remove flow control valve and spring noting position for assembly.
6. Remove pressure plate spring and pressure plate.

7. Tap pump shaft from housing, then remove shaft retaining ring, pump ring, rotor and vanes and thrust plate from the shaft.
8. Remove thrust plate and dowel pins.

9. Remove pressure plate and end plate O-rings from pump housing.

NOTE:  Do not remove the pump shaft seal.  

INSPECTION

1. Clean all parts with solvent and blow dry with compressed air.
2. Inspect flow control valve for nicks, scratches and burrs. Clean up minor surface marks with crocus cloth. Replace valve as an assembly if

damaged.

3. Check pressure and thrust plates for flatness and replace if worn or scored.
4. Inspect pump ring and replace if damaged in any way.
5. Inspect thrust plate dowels, pressure plate spring, rotor, splines and surfaces for distortion or any other damage. Replace as needed.
6. Inspect pump shaft and splines and replace if scored or damaged. Replace shaft retaining ring.
