SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customer complaint of "squeal" or "squeaking" noise from the front brakes during light to moderate braking.

Front Disc Brake Pad Set**
**REPAIR PROCEDURE:**
This bulletin involves replacing both front disc brake pads and in some cases both front disc brake rotors.
1.
Remove the front wheels and count the number of vanes between the inner and outer surfaces of the disc brake rotors. If the rotors have 28 vanes,
it will not be necessary to replace the rotors, proceed to Step 2. If the rotors have 42 vanes, replace both front disc brake rotors with P/N 4509327,
as outlined in the 1995 Neon Service Manual (Publication No. 81-270-5025), Page 5-28.
2.
Remove both front wheel disc brake pads, as outlined in the Service Manual, Page 5-28 through 5-29.
3.
If the rotors are not replaced, lightly sand the rotor braking surfaces in a circular pattern. This will burnish in the linings more quickly.
4.
Install disc brake pads, P/N 4864902, as outlined in the Service Manual, Page 5-28 through 5-29.
