SUBJECT:
Convertible Top Plastic Secondary Latch Catch
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing a revised convertible top plastic secondary latch catch.
MODELS:
**1997 - 2002**
(PR) Prowler
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Convertible top plastic secondary latch catch may be damaged.
DIAGNOSIS:
Inspect the convertible top plastic secondary latch catches for damage. If one or both of the plastic catches are damaged, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Lower the convertible top assembly.
2.
Remove the latch hook from the convertible top latch and remove the damaged plastic secondary catch.
3.
Insert the revised secondary catch into the convertible top latch and install the latch hook.
4.
If necessary, repeat steps one through three for the other catch.
5.
Adjust the latching effort of the top by turning the latch hook inward or outward until sufficient convertible top sealing is obtained without
excessive latching effort.
